It seeks to make Măng Đen an attractive and renowned destination in the Central Highlands, both domestically and internationally, with a focus on professional and competitive tourism development. This development should also contribute significantly to the socioeconomic growth of Kon Plông district and Kon Tum province.

Phó Chủ tịch UBND tỉnh Kon Tum, Mr. Nguyễn Ngọc Sâm, has listened to the comments of the Appraisal Council. Regarding the development direction, the Măng Đen Tourist Area is planned to have various forms of tourism. The focus will be on eco-tourism, cultural and spiritual tourism, high-quality leisure tourism, entertainment, high-class medical tourism, community-based tourism, and specialized tourism. These tourism types aim to preserve and promote the values of historical sites, cultural identity, and the environment of ethnic minorities to create unique tourism products that highlight the local culture of Kon Tum province.

Additionally, the plan includes an urban area combined with high-class resort, entertainment facilities closely connected with nature, a center for ethnic culture, sports, and a national conference center. It will also incorporate a high-tech agriculture and forestry center, which links with processing industries (fruits, medicinal herbs, vegetables) to serve tourism and export.

A center for high-tech processing of traditional medicine, research, application, and development of high-tech in traditional medicine processing is also part of the plan. It focuses on transferring agricultural and forestry technology.

To gain a comprehensive understanding, the local authorities will evaluate the various tourism products and the landscape created within the tourist area. They will also assess environmental landscapes, evaluate the commercial and service system, ensure public safety and security, and consider land recovery processes. They will collaborate with the Ministry of Transport to scrutinize and evaluate the feasibility of the Măng Đen airport planning.

The local authorities will align the plan with regional and provincial planning. They will evaluate the connectivity between different industries, regions, and provinces to enhance the diversity of tourism products. Moreover, they will clarify the scale, scope of the tourist area in line with provincial planning.

They aim to provide a detailed assessment of tourist numbers, types of tourism, tourism infrastructure, and ethnic populations. They will also specify the development objectives of the tourist area, including forecasting its capacity and resilience. Attracting strategic investors to construct high-class national and international accommodation and entertainment facilities will also be a priority. The development of tourism will be closely linked to preserving cultural identity.

On behalf of the leadership of Kon Tum Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Nguyễn Ngọc Sâm has stated that the provincial units and consultants will continue researching and clarifying based on the opinions of the Council. Kon Tum Province will actively collaborate with the consultants to improve the content of the planning task.

Summarizing the conclusion of the conference, Ms. Trần Thu Hằng, the Head of the Architecture Planning Department, emphasized that Kon Tum Province needs to consolidate and summarize the direct influences on the planning task to ensure consistency across related planning levels. They should provide a clearer scope for the planning and assess the current role and contribution of the Măng Đen Tourist Area in Kon Tum Province, both at the national and district levels.

In addition, local authorities must determine development forecasts for the tourist area that align with the actual development situation. It is necessary to clarify the development direction for the tourist area and make adjustments regarding the utilization of forest resources and landscapes. Furthermore, attention should be given to the issue of connecting technical infrastructure, social infrastructure, and the potential advantages of future transportation hubs.

Ms. Trần Thu Hằng suggested that the Kon Tum Provincial People's Committee should incorporate the contributions of the Council members into the planning draft promptly to submit for approval by the Prime Minister.
